About Cottages & Castles
Book with the experts
At Cottages and Castles Ltd, we’ve been helping our guests on the way to a great holiday since 1983. Our attention to detail and wide range of properties have made us the largest self catering company in Scotland.
We are also part of CKD Galbraith – one of Scotland’s leading independent property consultancies.
We’re ready to help
We’re here to make sure you really enjoy your holiday.
Pick up the phone and you’ll get right through to our booking team here in Perth. As well as being friendly and helpful, we pride ourselves on really knowing the ins and outs of every single property.
So if you’re looking for certain features – such as adjoining rooms, a child-safe garden or an open fire – all you have to do is ask.
Browse and book online
While many of our customers prefer to book over the telephone, our new website is proving extremely popular. We have added many more properties, as well as extra photographs and up-to-date promotions. We’ve also taken the opportunity to make the website even easier to use. As ever, your booking and payment details are completely secure.
Of course, if you’d like to discuss anything at all about your website booking, we’re just a phone call away.
There’s only one way to ensure the properties on offer meet our high standards – and that’s by visiting every single one. Of course, we demand first-class cleanliness and comfort, but we’re also looking for real character – whether you need a castle to sleep 18, or a cosy cottage for two.
Honest descriptions and prices
If a property is comfortable but basic, we say so. If the décor and space are truly exceptional, we’ll be just as straightforward in our description. We also ensure the standard of accommodation is accurately reflected in the price.
Outside the busiest months, we’re often able to offer competitive rates for three and four night short breaks. Simply call us for availability and pricing.
Scotland – your perfect holiday destination
A holiday in Scotland is the perfect antidote to the stresses and strains of modern life. If all you want to do is light a log fire, read a book and stare at the scenery, you’re in for a treat. But if you love the outdoor life, your senses are in for a true awakening.
Walking and climbing
From gentle lowland paths to nerve-jangling rock faces, Scotland offers challenge and pleasure to every level of walker or climber.
With over six thousand lochs – not to mention the rivers and the sea – Scotland is perhaps the perfect fishing destination.
Whether you relish the challenge of the traditional links game, or one of many world-famous championship courses, you simply have to book a round in the birthplace of golf.
A pair of binoculars is absolutely compulsory. Just some of the creatures you can expect to see are red kites in the Borders, Scottish crossbills in the Grampians and bottlenose dolphins in the Moray Firth.
Heritage and culture
Culloden battlefield, Rosslyn Chapel and Inchmahome Priory are just three of Scotland’s world-class heritage sites – and that’s before even thinking about the famous castles at Edinburgh and Stirling
