Fair Isle
About the Island
Despite its far-flung location and air of peaceful seclusion, Fair Isle is a hive of industry. The island is famous for its patterned knitwear which is still sold worldwide. Today, the island’s craftspeople are busy with boat-building, spinning and weaving, and the manufacture of furniture and stained-glass windows.
