Glencoe Mountain is was the country's first commercial area to open with a ski lift in 1956 but that does not mean that Glencoe Mountain is in any way old fashioned.

Indeed, Glencoe has always been a popular resort for more experienced snow sports participants and has become increasingly popular in the 21st century among more daredevil snowboarders and skiers. This is apparent on the Fly Paper run – the most thrilling black run in the UK. Needless to say there is something for everyone over the 19 runs and 7 lifts: including four green runs and six blue-graded runs.

Surrounded by 200 hectares of breathtaking scenery in the Meall a' Bhuiridh Massif, the main ski area comprises a large basin with exceptional snow-holding characteristics.

Along with the other Scottish ski resorts there is more to offer than just the winter sports market: walking and climbing year-round, mountain biking and paragliding in the summer months.
