The Lecht

Approx 7 miles and 10 min drive from Tomintoul
Approx 18 miles and 25 mins drive from Ballater

Situated 2,090ft (637m) above sea level in the Cairngorm National Park this smaller, but perfectly presented resort offers some of the most consistent snow in Scotland. 

In total The Lecht has 18 pisted runs extending to some 20 kms. With seven blue runs and five red runs for the improver or intermediate skier, providing enough of a thrill for a day's outing. Beginners can head to a wide area closest to the car park where they will find five green-graded runs, including a wonderfully named Magic Carpet - a conveyer-belt style lift perfect for beginners. At the other end of the scale is a black-graded race piste, with timing and slalom poles.

When conditions allowing, The Lecht can also offer a half-pipe and fun park for experienced snowboarders and freestyle skiers. In addition, why not descend in something similar to an inner tyre tube and enjoy snowtubing!

The Lecht offers a choice of activities for all seasons - Deval Karts, Tubing, Quad Bikes and Fun Karts.
