Nevis Range
Approx 5 miles; 10 min drive from Fort William
12 Lifts; 24 runs
Enjoy snow sports on Aonach Mor (Scotland's eighth highest mountain). With skiing up to 1190 metres (3,900 feet) Nevis Range reaches high on to the mountain and offers skiing and boarding into late spring.
The gondola an attraction of its own is access point of the snow sports area, transporting visitors from the car park just above sea level to 650 metres (2,150 feet). As this is available all year round it benefits skiers, boarders, mountain bikers, mountaineers and visitors giving them a speedy ride up the mountain that also boasts stunning views.
The beginners area is situated around the top of the gondola, close to the Snowgoose restaurant, and includes a range of green and blue-graded runs. Thanks to an artificial slope there are even skiing opportunities here when snow is sparse.
An extensive network of red and black runs awaits you as you carry on up the mountain, along with the acclaimed Boardwise terrain park. You will also find the striking off-piste expanse of the Back Corries with steep runs to challenge even the most experienced of skiers. If you fancy a change, Nevis Range has a wide range of alternative winter activities to offer, from sledging to snowshoeing to the wackier snow biking.
