Argyll
The West Coast of Scotland is a land of deep inlets and sea lochs and myriad off-shore islands, and nowhere more so that Argyll, the south western region of the Highlands & Islands. This is Scotland’s Sea Kingdom, and the sea is ever-present.
Argyll has two long peninsulas running roughly north/south. The first is stretches from Oban south to the Mull of Kintyre, immortalised in the Paul McCartney song and a mere 12 miles from Northern Ireland.
The second is the Cowal Peninsula which stretches south to the resort town of Dunoon and the Isle of Bute in the Firth of Clyde.
Argyll is rich in history and culture and there is more than enough to keep all ages entertained and happy.
