Where To Holiday

Scotland is remarkable. Just over ½  the size of England but with a coastline over twice as long and a population only 1/10th the size, it is a land of striking contrasts.

To the north, the wild, untamed mountains, moorland, rivers, lochs and rocky, off-shore islands of the Highlands & Islands dominate, while to the south the round and rolling hills and moors of the Southern Uplands guard the English border. In the middle lies the Central Lowlands, an area of rich, fertile farmland dotted with the country's major cities and towns.

Scotland is big on spectacular landscapes, on rich natural and cultural heritage, on a wide range of outdoor activities, events and festivals and on eating, drinking and peace and tranquillity, and it is small on population, crowded roads and the pressures of every-day life.

In short, Scotland is the perfect place for a holiday.
