Traquair House, originally a Hunting Lodge for the Kings and Queens of Scotland, is a unique piece of living history welcoming visitors from all over the world. Dating back to 1107, Traquair sits in a romantic and magical setting.

You can enjoy the large maze, extensive gardens and apple trees rich with fruit. Over 100 acres of woodlands and lawns presenting lovely spots for picnics, playing games or simply relaxing in the sun surround the House.

For those who feel peckish the Cottage Restaurant can be found in the walled garden and serves homemade soups, lunches and an array of baked cakes. To add to the enjoyment of your day, the Traquair House Brewery can be found in the 18th Century wing of the House where it produces the famous Traquair House Ales.
