Run Conditions: There is very good snowsports available in the Ptarmigan bowl and Ciste Fairway on groomed, pisted snow with a dusting of fresh snow. Very good skiing/boarding to the middle via the traverse, 105, Cas and Gunbarrel. The first two zig-zags are good but some walking is required on the second two. The walk can be avoided by taking the crossover into the gunbarrel. Current weather at 1097m: Current weather: Overcast but dry. 5 to 10mph NW. Temperature 0C. Weather forecast: Forecast for Monday: A dry day with periods of sunshine and good visibility. Windspeed: variable 10-15mph. Temperature at 900m: 1C to 0C but increasing at higher levels. Road Status: ROAD OPEN Maximum vert descent: 400m News from the slopes PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE HAVE NO JUNIOR EQUIPMENT HIRE. WE ADVISE HIRING JUNIOR EQUIPMENT IN AVIEMORE OR ELSEWHERE OFF-SITE BEFORE COMING UP TO THE SNOWSPORTS AREA. First funicular train up is at 9am, with the last train up at 15.45 and the last train down at 16.30. The T-bar and Shieling are expected to open for packed lunches. The VANS Terrain park is expected to open and is located in the Ptarmigan Bowl, at the top of the Ptarmigan tow. It has many features including a kicker, rails, a c-box and tabletop. The sledge park is expected to open. Sledges can be hired from the shop at the top for £5 per 30 minute session. Due to streams and uneven ground under the snowpack, and for general safety on the pistes we do not allow customers to bring their own sledges up on the Funicular. Run Conditions: Light dusting fresh snow to 900m.Good sliding on the pisted areas which come up really well, snowpack softening off the pisting. The main skiing is on 2 of the Summit runs, the full length of the Goose and a narrow run down the Fairway to the bottom of the Goose chair. Other lower runs are broken. Alpha is operating for the dry slope for beginner skiers with space available. Snowboard beginners are going on snow. Please contact our Ski School.
