Sandray Cottage is a former lock keepers cottage – situated right on the Caledonian Canal in the Great Glen of Scotland. Kytra lock must be one of the prettiest of Locks. Hidden up a track along with 2 other equally delightful holiday cottages, this is a perfect jumping off point for the Highlands and west coast and yet it feels so relaxing to be surrounded by such beautiful landscapes where the main sound is the water or the breeze in the trees. The cottage is semi-detached and sits on the far side of the lock so you have an unusual path that crosses the footbridge to get there.
