Holiday House Details

Ideally positioned just a short walk away from its own large private sandy beach, this delightful Georgian home is the perfect setting for a memorable holiday.  Carse House has been carefully renovated, retaining its traditional warmth and charm, yet beautifully refurbished with all the joys of modern day living making it a wonderful year round retreat for family and friends.

Set over 4 floors with a wide choice of rooms, this wonderfully atmospheric self catering country house in Argyll caters for all ages.  The elegant drawing room with its comfortable seating, roaring log fire and grand piano is perfect for relaxing in while the cosy sitting room, adjacent to the spacious well equipped kitchen, is great for playing games or watching television.  The young and sporty are sure to have fun playing table tennis in the games room or outdoors on the trampoline.

Relaxed meals can be enjoyed by everyone around the friendly kitchen table warmed by the Esse range; and for more formal dinners the large dining room on the ground floor creates the perfect setting.  A traditional sweeping staircase leads to the pretty main bedrooms on the first floor and then continues to 4 further bedrooms on the top floor.  The holiday house enjoys stunning views across the garden and down to the sea.

Situated in tranquil surroundings within a private estate on the glorious Knapdale Peninsula, Carse House benefits from some of Scotland’s greatest scenery.  Not only is this a glorious place for children who can run freely through the large garden, explore the surrounding woodlands and spend hours playing on the beach but it is also a perfect base from which to discover all the history and magic that Argyll has to offer.
