Finlaggan House is an outstanding detached house in a spectacular location looking out over Loch Finlaggan on the scenic Isle of Islay. The house is spacious, welcoming and fully modernised to create a fantastic large holiday house that provides you with all the facilities and space you need but retains many original features so you also have great character. The rooms are large and comfortable and numerous with an additional sitting room providing an area where younger members can watch TV or play games. The many cloakroom, drying and utility areas reflect the outdoor experience here that makes Finlaggan and Islay so popular. The kitchen has a splendid traditional Aga and the open fires in the two sitting rooms all add to the traditional welcoming feel of this lovely holiday home.

There is an additional cottage available which sleeps 6 for larger parties, Finlaggan Cottage, but this is not rented separately if Finlaggan House is rented. The garden and grounds to the house are delightful and extend to an acre with a lovely stone walled area that gives a pleasant and safe area for younger children.

Islay has everything you need for a great outdoor holiday – wonderful sandy beaches, magnificent views, cliff top walks and abundant wildlife from deer and otters to seals and birds. There are many opportunities for recreation with fishing, sailing, golf and hill walking and pony trekking all available on the island. Enjoy a tour of the world famous Bowmore distillery or spend a day looking at the craft shops that are on the island and be sure to take a visit to the beautiful island of Jura just a short distance away.  Fishing and field sports may be available by arrangement with Islay Estate.
