Holiday Cottage Details
Perched on the cliffs overlooking the bay and harbour of the historic fishing village of Catterline, the views from North End Cottage are truly breathtaking and unique. Guests can gaze at the sea stretching as far as the eye can see, and listen only to the sound of gulls and waves. At the end of a traditional terrace of fisher cottages, North End Cottage has been recently renovated to provide exceptional holiday accommodation, where original wood floors, exposed stone walls, open fires, antiqued leather sofas and quality furnishings combined with contemporary touches, give the cottage a luxurious charm. The sitting room, with it sea views and open fire, is comfortable and stylish and leads to a sun porch, ideal for sitting with a pair of binoculars and watching the bird life or seals in the bay on those cooler days. The dining room, again with sea views and open fire, has a dining table which comfortably seats six and also has a futon for extra guests. The kitchen with a folding breakfasting table is well equipped, and the bathroom has a huge roll top bath, ideal for a long soak, whilst upstairs the two generous bedrooms are bright with pretty decor.
From the cottage a path leads down to the harbour and shingle beach below and is only a few minutes walk, whilst a few minute stroll along the cliff top path will take guests to the Creel Inn, famous for it’s locally caught lobster and crab, and frequently has live music on offer. Catterline has long been associated with many well known artists who have been inspired by the dramatic seascapes and idyllic seclusion, and guests at this wonderful cottage will find it easy to see why.
