Holiday House Details

Set in a stunning location of the banks of the River Lochy with clear views to Ben Nevis, Camisky Lodge has been transformed into a breathtaking holiday retreat.

Built in 1870 as the primary fishing lodge for the River Lochy and once host to the Prince of Wales and Wallace Simpson, Camisky has now been fully renovated to a very high standard with great attention to detail creating the ideal location for a memorable family holiday, special occasion or a house party of friends.  Wonderfully secluded along a quiet glen this fabulous highland house is only 7 miles from the thriving town of Fort William.

The wonderfully proportioned rooms have all been beautifully decorated and elegantly furnished and the large bay windows not only give fabulous views but also allow natural light to flow through and fill the house.  Throughout the interiors are immaculately presented yet wonderfully relaxed and welcoming.

The graceful dining room with its rich coloured walls and large mahogany table is perfect for long memorable dinners and the delightful drawing room provides the perfect backdrop for relaxed conversation.  There are many further rooms including a second sitting room, ideal for those wishing to play games or watch television and the morning room creates the perfect retreat for guests wanting extra peace and quiet in front of a roaring open fire.  The large traditional conservatory porch is very much geared toward the outdoors with lots of hanging space and a heated drying cupboard.  All the bedrooms are extremely comfortable and strikingly decorated and the spacious master bedroom boasts a Jacobean four poster bed.  The well designed kitchen with its large wooden table and Aga is fully equipped to cater for every cook’s needs.

With an abundant supply of hot water, full central heating and 4 cosy open fires this sensational Scottish holiday house is perfect for all seasons and ideal for those who love the great outdoors, or the keen skier with Nevis Ski Resort just a few miles away.  Camisky Lodge gives the perfect opportunity to enjoy this historically magical part of Scotland in blissful comfort and elegant style.
