Stunningly positioned on its own little peninsula by shoreline of romantic Loch Linnhe, Dalendrien enjoys a magical setting with magnificent views of Ben Nevis and down the loch to the island of Mull.

This delightful and welcoming holiday cottage is a perfect highland retreat allowing you to leave busy life behind and wind down to relaxed holiday mode.  You will never tire of the amazing surrounding scenery, whatever the season.  Open the curtains and you may well see deer quietly grazing around the house or spot a golden eagle circling above – you will be amazed by the wildlife that thrives in this peaceful setting.  Down by the shore you have every chance of seeing otters, pine martin or even porpoise as well as a wonderful collection of birds and wild fowl.

Inside this deceptively spacious single-storey house the interiors are relaxed and comfortable with many homely touches.  Light floods in through the large picture windows making the house bright and airy as well as perfectly framing the amazing views.  Sit by the cosy open fire in the evening and watch the sun disappear over the horizon or marvel at the enchanting morning mist skimming the loch.  This much loved home is beautifully kept and well equipped with everything you need for a happy and memorable holiday.

The surrounding 3 acres of grounds with its private shoreline and slipway create many wonderful play areas for children and adults to enjoy.  Stroll down to the water’s edge launch a boat, swim or just sit and relax – you could not wish for a more beautiful and tranquil setting.

Activities

Situated on the peaceful north shore of Loch Linnhe, Dalendrien is perfectly placed for enjoying the great outdoors with glorious picnic spots and endless walks right from the doorstep.  The private shoreline and jetty is haven for those who wish to bring their own boat or enjoy fishing.

This naturally beautiful area has created the backdrop for many well-known films including Highlander, Braveheart and Rob Roy; it is also home to Harry Potter’s steam train which travels from Fort William to Mallaig over the Glenfinnan Viaduct. 

Fort William & Lochaber is proud to be known as the Outdoor Capital of the UK and offers a huge range of activities including golf, sailing, fishing, mountain-biking & white-water rafting.   A short drive away will take you to the renowned Nevis Range where you can experience a scenic Gondola ride, explore over 25 miles of forest track, be challenged by a championship mountain biking track and enjoy excellent winter skiing and snow boarding.

Linen and towels provided (guests to provide own beach towels). Oil fired central heating, open fire in sitting room – oil and electricity included, solid fuel not provided (available at local shop).

Fridge/freezer, electric cooker, microwave, slow cooker, washing machine, tumble dryer, oil-fired Aga (optional for cooking at an extra cost of £50 per week). Cot & infant dining booster seat.
