We had a great time at this wonderful cottage, it was a lot of house for two people and had everything we needed. The view from the back overlooking the loch was stunning and it was even nice when it rained! The local pub in the village (The Laroch) was very nice, good food, good prices and a good atmosphere (just expect a wait when it is busy - but it is worth it). The village co-op was big enough to provide the essentials. There is no cash machine in the village but you can withdraw money from the post office in the co-op (most banks). The only issues we had with the cottage were the internet which is very limited, it would not even let us look at our bank or check emails or even get onto trip advisor (to check local restaurant reviews) as these sites were blocked. We had to resort to using our mobile as a modem. The sliding door in the downstairs living room is very stiff and heavy and took a few goes to get it to shut properly and lock. The only other issue was that because of all the windows in the living room (upstairs) and the glass door to the main bedroom, we were woken up each morning as soon as it became light; the whole room was lit up by 5am. It would have been nice to have some curtains or something over the doors. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay at Lochside house and hope to return in the future.

Beautiful house and interior decoration. We spent most of our afternoons in the upstairs lounge room taking advantage of the views to the mountains and Loch Leven through the big glass windows. The house is very well equipped and the kitchen has everything you could need. Great place to explore the area, Fort William Spean Bridge, Oban, Inverary, Ben Nevis and Glencoe all quick and easy to get to. Wonderful mountain walks on your door step. A dinner or lunch at Loch Leven Seafood cafe is an absolute must!

Beautifully decorated and furnished.Amazing location. Helpful and friendly caretaker who let us check in early on Rugby Grand Slam weekend, much appreciated. Great for hill walkers and mountain enthusiasts as so many monroes and scramble within a short drive. All in all a fantastic break.

Although the weather was severe and we weren't really able to explore the area, we enjoyed our stay in this property very much. The house was modern, clean and comfortable and is equipped with everything. The location could not be surpassed, with fantastic views and a tranquility that might make you think you were more remote than you thought. I would love to return.

A lovely house in a fabulous location by Loch Leven with breathtaking views, just a few minutes drive from Glen Coe.

We stayed with our folks and all had their own bedroom. We were all very comfortable, even when a storm raged around us. Incredible views from the sitting room and upstairs rooms. Great kitchen and amenities. We would definitely stay here again, especially with a little better weather. We were not so lucky in that department although we got the best rainbow picture ever and an incredible changing sky over the course of a week.

Wonderful house - well thought out, well equipped and beautifully situated.

Dining room/area overlooking the loch would be the icing on the cake so you could enjoy a wonderful dinner with a most amazing view. Bath sheet sized towels would be better and would complement the fantastic bathrooms.

The view from the upstairs living room (accessed via one of the bedrooms) across Loch Leven to the Pap of Glen Coe is stunning. There is also a downstairs living room - again with a good view, but not quite so jaw dropping. Location is surprisingly private, given the proximity of other buildings, but it is not "remote" - the main A82 is only just over 100m away, so outside the house traffic could always be heard, but inside was very quiet. The proximity of the A82 has the advantage of easy access to Glen Coe, Oban and Fort William areas. The new Sustrans National Cycle route 78, which ultimately will go all the way to Oban, is complete for many (traffic free) miles of the route already and highly recommended. Loads of Munros in this area, trips to several islands from Oban are possible, foot ferry (take your bikes) from Port Appin to Lismore recommended. Diving (SCUBA) and canoeing from the garden of this house are also possible! The house is very well designed and equipped; everything in first-rate condition, but Zebra skin floor mat in one bedroom may not be to everyone's taste! Only suggestion for a possible improvement would be access to the garage for under-cover bike parking. The caretaker lives adjacent and was very friendly and helpful. Overall an expensive but very high spec and comfortable house with awesome views.

The location can not be beaten, utterly perfect! We took a kayak up with us and used it in the loch. The house is very well decorated and furnished. The kitchen is one of the best equiped kitchens I've seen as so many self catering places offer the bare minimum but this house had a selection of baking trays, every utensil you could think of etc. Cooking from scratch was easily do-able. Only down side was the awful zebra skin in the main bedroom. Thought it was a personal taste too far. But otherwise a perfect stay!
