The secluded patio and woodland garden is perfect for enjoying an evening glass of wine as well as being an heavenly place for children to play (there is a fast flowing burn within the garden - young children must be supervised). Being part of the impressive 20,000 acre Fassfern Estate, outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers are certain to enjoy all that this glorious and historic estate has to offer. Renowned for its wonderful woodland, the estate has many fantastic walks and picnic spots to enjoy with spectacular views across Loch Eil and to Ben Nevis.

Guests are welcome to enjoy this fabulous estate rising from the shores of Loch Eil to the peaks of the magnificent mountains of Gulvain and Streap. Outdoor enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice with many wonderful walks to enjoy - from a gentle stroll through the woods to the full blown mountaineering experience. Roe deer, black grouse, wood ants, butterflies and pine marten are just some of the wildlife that thrives here – you may even catch a glimpse of both golden eagles and sea eagles.
Conveniently located within easy reach of Fort William (‘Outdoor Capital of the UK’) on the famous ‘Road to the Isles’, Fassfern is an ideal base for those looking to explore this fabulous area of Scotland with its amazing history, outstanding scenery and glorious wildlife.
There are many local attractions including the distinguished Glenfinnan Monument, Nevis Range Ski Centre and downhill mountain bike course. Take a trip on the famous Jacobite Stream Train (Hogwarts Express) from Fort William to Mallaig. Enjoy a visit to Inverness or experience the historic Glencoe. The islands of Skye, Rum, Muck, Eigg and Canna can be visited from nearby Mallaig and Arisaig. For those who enjoy a day on the beach, the White Sands of Morar are about 45 minutes drive towards Mallaig.
