13 The Raven Wing, or ‘Fhithich’ (pronounced “Fitick” and meaning ‘raven’ in Gaelic), offers charming self-catering holiday accommodation in an unrivalled location.  This second-floor, one bedroom apartment is located in ‘The Raven Wing’ - a newly renovated building that was formerly the science block of the Abbey Boys’ School - and features modern comforts and conveniences within the historic setting of the abbey and its grounds. The property is well equipped and freshly decorated with lovely views, lots of light and a real sense of peace and space, while benefiting from all the facilities The Highland Club has to offer. It makes an ideal choice for a romantic getaway, and is a lovely holiday property from which to enjoy the area.

This apartment has a bright, open plan living-dining space, decorated in uplifting neutrals, and features double glass doors and Juliet balcony that look out, over the grounds and tennis court, to the Caledonian Canal and hills beyond. Entertainment options include an LCD television with Sky, DVD player and i-pod docking station. The modern, fully equipped kitchen area is fitted to the highest standard, with black granite work surface and oak veneer laminate flooring, as well as top of the range appliances and a large range of cookware. The comfortable double bedroom, decorated in fresh creams and blues, has a lovely view of the treetops towards the expansive front lawn and cricket pitch. The bathroom is comprised of high quality fittings and features slate flooring, a black granite vanity surface, and a large mirror.

Activities

In addition to the many activities that can be enjoyed on site at The Highland Club, the local area offers excellent hill walking, cycling, fishing, riding, field sports, boating and many adventure sports, including white-water rafting and quad-biking for the more adventurous! There are also many castles, gardens, woollen mills and whisky distilleries within easy reach. The west coast, with its stunning beaches, can be reached in a day trip.
