7, The Raven Wing, or ‘Gladsheim’ (meaning ‘place of joy’ in old Norse), is a perfect romantic getaway in an unrivalled location in the Highlands. This first-floor, one bedroom apartment is located in ‘The Raven Wing’ - a newly renovated building that was formerly the science block of the Abbey Boys’ School - and features modern comforts and conveniences within the historic setting of the abbey and its grounds. The property is well equipped and stylishly decorated in a contemporary highland palette, by Anta, Scotland. It has lovely views, and a real sense of peace and intimacy, while benefiting from all the facilities The Highland Club has to offer. It makes an ideal choice for a couple wishing to explore the area.

This apartment has a bright, open plan living-dining space that is complemented by richly coloured highland furnishings. It features double glass doors and Juliet balcony that look out, over the original fort bastion wall and grounds, to the Caledonian Canal and hills beyond. The kitchen area is fitted to the highest standard, with granite work surfaces and top of the range appliances. The bedroom features a wonderful four poster bed and lovely upholstered window seat from which to enjoy the view of the expansive front lawn and cricket pitch. The bathroom is comprised of high quality fittings and features slate flooring, a granite vanity surface, and a large mirror. There is a double sofa bed in the living space allowing the apartment to accommodate up to four people.

Kitchen area includes washer/dryer, double oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge w/ freezer box and additional freezer. Bedroom with four poster kingsize bed, wardrobe and carved wood furniture. Bathroom with bath, shower over bath, wc and whb.

Activities

In addition to the many activities that can be enjoyed on site at The Highland Club, the local area offers excellent hill walking, cycling, fishing, riding, field sports, boating and many adventure sports, including white-water rafting and quad-biking for the more adventurous! There are also many castles, gardens, woollen mills and whisky distilleries within easy reach. The west coast, with its stunning beaches, can be reached in a day trip.

Swimming Pool, Sauna and Jacuzzi all complete - fantastic addition to the Highland Club. Towels can be hired at a small cost. Please do not use towels from the apartment, thank you.
