Our second visit to Benula Lodge and just as enjoyable as the first. Although only a few miles from Inverness, the lodge is in a different world, so quiet with only the flow of the Ness breaking the silence. We were so fortunate in having glorious sunny weather all week whilst at home in the UK they were inundated with rain and floods! We could not rate Benula Lodge highly enough.

The property was in excellent condition and extensively equipped. It had a very "cosy" feel to it. Views from and walks around Benula were wonderful and Inverness was "on the doorstep". All in all we had a very relaxing time and shall seriously consider returning next year.

Benula was excellent, a beautiful, clean and comfortable cottage with gorgeous views of the River Ness and surrounding areas. Our daughters aged 5 and 8, loved the freedom of the grounds and exploring along the river looking for Nessie!! The cottage is in a lovely area and is not too far from Inverness and other family attractions. We will be back!!

Benula Lodge was even better than we had expected, a fabulous well equipped house, spacious and furnished to a very high standard. A stunning position over looking the River Ness, so quiet and peaceful yet 5 minutes from Inverness. Beautiful and stunning surroundings.

We very much enjoyed our stay, the property made our holiday a home from home. The well equipped kitchen, room to spread out in and the wood burning stove made our time at Benula Lodge very pleasant. The beautiful setting was wonderful and the view was just as good when it did rain. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful, luxurious house in a wonderful setting. Didn't want to come home!

This was our family's1st visit to Benula. We have stayed as a family (6 Adults & 3 Children) elsewhere in Inverness last year in a very impressive (but remote) cottage, but Benula surpassed that and then some. When we arrived the sun was shining and the location set back from the River Ness, was breathtaking. Very friendly and helpful staff were on hand to walk us through the stunning property. The cottage is only about 10 minutes drive from Inverness city centre but feels light years away from it thanks to the stunning views. Local amenities are closer still but are not obtrusive due to cottage's setting. All agreed that the pictures on the website do not tell the whole story, in fact the house is more majestic in the flesh. There is a real sense of tranquility here. The only real niggle was the weather, though you don't visit Northern Scotland for the weather. We still had a fantastic time and in large part due to fantastic accommodation. If you're planning to visit and looking to dine out, The Dores Inn (on the shore of Loch Ness) a few miles up the road is a cracking place to eat, though you won't struggle with finding somewhere in the city centre.

We have returned to Benula Lodge for the past four years as we enjoy the peace and tranquillity that the house and surrounding grounds have to offer. The house is immaculately presented five star accomodation but gives the welcome feel of home after returning from sightseeing. Inverness is a super place to explore with local restaurants, galleries and shops whereas in contrast Loch Ness and the local wildlife allow you to see the 'real' Scotland. All in all a beautiful retreat which allows the whole family to recharge their batteries.

Ideal cottage in great location, ideal for sightseeing, but at same time a romantic getaway. Staff at cottage are very helpfull and friendly.would recommend this cottage. Would certainly come back.

Wonderful Scottish experience. A above expectation experience.

Benula lodge was a perfect quality family experience. we brought our grandchildren to the highlands for the first time and they were delighted and excited with the dolphin experience nearby and the opportunity to find out about the mythicall Loch Ness monster. Above all it was a classy temporary home where we all relaxed in peacefull surroundings enjoying a glass of the finest local wine as the sun went down over the River Ness.We were lucky with the good weather and it gave us all a wonderfull experience as a base to explore the West Higlands particularly beautifull Loch Maree and wester Ross.

We are returning to Benula for the fourth year running this year. We consider it perfect: everything you need is provided at a high quality level; it is spacious and very comfortable. The rural location is glorious and the proximity to the city ideal for meals, shopping etc. I couldn't easily miss a year! Last year we appreciated the wine waiting for us as repeat cutomers!
