More about Central Scotland

Easy to get to, Central Scotland is perhaps the best of all worlds. Presenting you with many of Scotland's most iconic features neatly packaged up in one easily accessible area.

A delightful mix of highland, lowland and coastal scenery with some of Scotland's most famous cities and towns thrown in for good measure. And all within, at most, a two hour drive of each other.

At the top of this region, there is the Southern Highlands, an area of heather and forest-clad hills, fertile valleys, broad rivers and deep lochs stretching from Loch Lomond and the Trossachs through Perthshire to the Angus hills and glens.

Further south, the highlands segue into the lowlands, an area of lush rolling pastures and small woods, dotted with pretty market towns and villages. At only 25 miles wide at its narrowest, the sea is never very far away in this part of Scotland, giving easy access to the Firth of Clyde in the West and the Firths of Forth and Tay in the East. Lining these coasts are strings of picturesque fishing villages, just waiting to be explored.

Last but by no means least, the region's five cities, Perth, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling. Each unique, with it's own fascinating history, sights to see and things to do.

The heart of Scotland. Explore it to your heart's content.
