Holiday Cottage Details
Craighead Cottage offers the ideal location to enjoy all that the East Neuk of Fife has to offer while still retaining wonderful peace and privacy. Enjoying a superb coastal location the house is less than 10 miles from St Andrews and is ideally situated for the Dunhill Golf Championship with Kingsbarns only minutes away and Caroustie less than one hour’s drive. With two golf courses literally on the doorstep, and a further 45 golfing venues throughout Fife, including the world famous Old Course at St Andrews Craighead Cottage is the golfer’s dream. This recently refurbished holiday cottage has been sympathetically converted to provide stylish luxury accommodation where every thought has been given to detail, making this truly a wonderful base to enjoy all the East Neuk of Fife has to offer. From a large sitting/dining room, with French door to the garden and a lovely open fire, enjoy wonderful uninterrupted views across Balcomie Golf Course, reputed to be the seventh oldest golf course in the world and the adjacent Craighead Golf Course to the sea beyond where colonies of seabirds can be seen sitting on the rocks. A fully equipped modern dining/kitchen is bright and spacious, ideal for family dining, and three superbly comfortable bedrooms, two of which are ensuite, make this a fantastic holiday cottage. In addition to the main house there is a studio apartment providing a further light and bright, contemporary sitting room with French door and sofa bed, a twin bedroom, a kitchenette and shower room, all furnished, like the main house, to the highest standard.
With Fife offering something for everyone, Crail is ideally situated for touring the ancient kingdom. Travel through the quaint fishing villages of the East Neuk, where picturesque cottages with red pantile roofs and crow stepped gables shelter behind bustling harbours, or enjoy walking along The Fife Coastal Path which stretches for a 150km of rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, and wildlife reserves. Enjoy the wonderful restaurants serving locally caught seafood or visit Anstruther for its famous fish and chips. From the cottage stroll half a mile to a secluded sandy beach, or watch the huge numbers of species of seabird from the RSPB hide only 400 yards away, or simply sit in the lovely gardens and enjoy the peace and quiet and the endless views.
