Creag Mhor sits in a beautiful position above Loch Tummel. With stunning scenery in every direction, and less than 15 minutes drive to Pitlochry's amenities, it provides a great base for a relaxing holiday. Helped by record-breaking temperatures (for March), this was a lovely spring break. The cottage is comfortable and well-equipped, with a good-sized kitchen/dining area and a cosy lounge with picture windows to the loch and woods beyond. It's good value for money - only downside is the lack of garden furniture. In a week when it would have been possible to sunbathe and dine al fresco every day, some decent outdoor chairs would have been welcome. Excellent property for a dog (particularly an older, less mobile one like ours), with a secure fence and enough space for games etc. We'd recommend the Faskally Fishing Station cafe for good food and home baking - and a lovely view of the loch - complete with ducks and boats.

I give Creag Mhor 4 stars because a lot of people expect en-suite if more than 2 people visit,but we are a couple in our late sixties with 2 dogs and it caters for our every need.The fact we have used the cottage 22 times speaks for itself.Creag Mhor is cosy,warm,quiet,private with beautiful views and has all modern kitchen equipment.We have used lots of other cottages in Scotland but for us this is the one we couldn't not go back to at least twice a year.Feel like we could have bought it but then again we have no worries about maintenace.

The cottage is a paradise for bird and wildlife lovers. It overlooks Loch Tummel and is a picture postcard which changes hourly. The view from all windows but especially the lounge is spectacular. We watched a great spotted woodpecker just inches from the lounge window and countless finches tits and jays. We saw rutting deer across the loch from our lounge and a red squirrel visited us twice during the week. Take plenty of bird food with you!!

Have been to the cottage 4 previous times. Never had an issue in the past but this time it did not have any spare toilet roll or kitchen roll. No hand soap which has always been there in the past. Very few cleaning materials to enable us to leave the cottacge as it was found. i.e no toilet cleaner, polish or surface spray and no J cloths. The polish and toilet cleaner containers were there but completely empty. The vacum cleaner was full to bursting and we had take it to pieces to unblock it before it would work.

Very nice place. Comfortable and roomy. Beds and linens 4 star +; roomy and with a character country kitchen. Great views from all rooms, but especially from the sitting room. Comfortable bathroom with v. good shower over the bath, and also beautiful view through the window. Birdwatchers paradise. Ample parking space even for 3 cars, although would be difficult to turn around. Must have a car, as it is approx. 7 miles from the main road, although the local road is v. good. Main telephone line for in and out going phones. Small screen TV set, with SKY satellite, v. good receiving. Excellent arrangement with security box for keys. Clean, but I would said it is seen that the cottage is rented and not attended by loving hand. All together I would recommend and I feel I made right choice to rent it.

We really enjoyed our stay at Creag Mhor, the most tranquil holiday we have spent in a cottage in Scotland! Very quiet and restful, which we both needed. The views were stunning and a very comfortable place to stay.

three going on four star for views and comfort only some decent outdoor furniture and better seating area outside wouldnt go amiss but nothing to complain of far more positives than negatives we loved it and hope to go back .will take our own recliners for garden but brilliant views and seclusion kitchen with dishwasher fridge freezer washer and drier great and loads of seating room in living area if you havent been to this cot give it a go
