Situated in a elevated sunny position on the leafy outskirts of the bustling highland town of Pitlochry, Douglas Cottage has the most fantastic views over the Perthshire town to the Cluniemore Hills beyond.  Built in the 1930's, this cottage manages to combine traditional charm and character with modern comfort and style, providing a great standard of holiday accommodation.  The double height sitting room with its woodburning stove is a bright, comfortable room, which has French doors out to the patio so those wonderful views can be enjoyed from inside and out.  Three bedrooms offer flexibility and comfort with the double room benefitting from an ensuite.  The kitchen is fully equipped, modern and spacious, whilst the dining room is stylish and again has views of the hills to the front of the house.

Outside a large garden surrounded by hedges and established trees offers a wonderful sunny location to enjoy the peace and quiet, and to completely unwind whilst sitting enjoying the fresh air and  listening to the bird song.

Pitlochry is fabulous place for holiday makers, with a huge amount of things to do and see no matter what your taste.  Watersports, hill walking, golf and mountain biking for the energetic to fishing, fine dining and the renowned Festival Theatre for those relaxed days, Visit distilleries, castles, beauty spots and Highland Games, or with the main A9 road north and south only a short drive, this is a great base for those wishing to travel further afield with Inverness, Glasgow and Edinburgh all less than two hour drive.

This area of Perthshire is staggeringly beautiful at any time of the year but is particularly famous for its autumn colours, being the “Big Tree Country”, but whatever the time of year or whatever the age and tastes of the holiday maker, Douglas Cottage is the perfect holiday house.
