Lodge was comfortable & clean....Compact & well equipped. Views from windows all round were fabulous.Plenty wildlife to be seen. Didn't make it down to the loch tho' as there were cows in the land that circles the lodge. Plenty of walking in surrounding area. Recommend Shutters in Killin for daytime food and drinks. Killin was also good to get parked and had a well stocked Co-op for food and essentials.

The facilities were better than shown on the website, was a home from home place to stay. The surrounding area is stunning, with the most relaxing view of the lock. For a relaxing, peaceful and tranquil holiday, i would strongly recommend.

The Log Cabin has everything you could wish for. The setting is magical. We had a great time watching the birds fly past and then catching sight of a young deer near to the cabin was wonderful. We saw the deer 4 times during our stay. We would definitely go back to the cabin.

Having stayed in self catering cottages in Scotland for over 20 years now I am pleased to say the Cabin was one of the very best we have stayed in. It was clean, homely, cosy, well maintained and equipped. The view through the large windows is excellent and the wild life you can see includes Red Squirrels, deer and Ospreys and so much more. It is perfect for a couple. You have access directly to the shore where you can fish if you wish.

We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the log cabin and could not fault any part of it. Its location was ideal for our needs right next to the Loch and proximity to Ben Lawers. The log cabin was better than expected, a real origional log cabin built in the 70's with log burner and views from the living room where great. Wildlife around the cabin never failed to impress, from deers, red squirrels, Goldfinches, Great Spotted Woodpecker etc. The holiday at the cabin was a success.

Great for couples and families, great for walking, fishing, and every Scottish activity you can wish for. We are repeat visitors, who on this occasion travelled from New Zealand to visit the Log Cabin.

Looking to get close to nature, look no further, the Log Cabin provides guests with the opportunity to share their stay with deer, woodpeckers, sparrow hawks and the elusive trout - only a few footsteps from your door. Great for walking, fishing and exploring rural Perthshire. Functional and homely accomodation we have found always to be clean and tidy. Although not luxurious the Cabin sits well within it's rural context. We have stayed 6 times over the last five years and plan to re-vist this Summer. Suffice to say we would love to own such a property and visit on a regular basis - don't leave it too late, visit once and you'll fall in love with the setting, the countryside and all that Perthsire has to offer.

We were delighted with The Log Cabin. It was in a beautiful remote location, the place was well kitted out and the lawns were even mown during our visit! We havn't awarded 5 stars because the double bed was so uncomfortable with springs trying to make their way out. If that was replaced then we would certainly go back, especially as it is so dog-friendly.
