Stemster School House Flat is an attractively furnished small first floor flat ideally located for exploring the beautiful yet wildly remote area of Caithness. Situated in open countryside with panoramic views across attractive farmland the flat is found within the grounds of the former School House for Stemster. Designed and decorated to a very high standard the flat is both comfortable and cosy, perfectly suited for a couple there is also a large sofa bed which allows the property to sleep up to four guests. With a separate drying and rod room the flat also has shared access to a freezer. Access to the garden is also shared and beyond that stretches spectacular open countryside with famous lochs and rivers and dramatic rugged coastlines the area is arguably one of the most captivating in the country. Fishing and bird watching are amongst some of the activities to be enjoyed near by and the Castle of Mey is not far away and well worth a visit. Added to this there are several sprawling sandy beaches to be explored and many fantastic walks to be had.

Own door and stair to flat. Spacious open plan sitting/dining room with wood floors. Open staircase unsuitable for small children. Twin bedroom (which can be made up as a superking on request with a deluxe memory foam mattress topper), with views over open fields. Shower room with whb, walk in shower and wc. Fitted kitchen.

Activities

River, loch and sea fishing are all available locally. This northern county of mainland Britain offers spectacular walks and views and at Dunnet and Duncansby Head a wonderful opportunity to see birdlife. The coastlines are spectacular – craggy cliffs or soft white sandy beaches depending on your mood or the weather.Owners are keen fishers and birdwatchers, able to share local knowledge and to assist with local contacts for permits etc.
