Steeped in history, this late 18th Century traditional former Lairds house offers luxurious accommodation on the Island of Westray in Orkney.  The House of Brough has recently been restored and whilst immersed in historic grandeur this special property is also comfortable and equipped with modern conveniences.  Whether this house is enjoyed in the summer or winter you can make the most of the seasons, either by enjoying a BBQ of local sea farye in the private gardens or keeping cosy in front of one of the many fire places.

Westray is a microcosm for Orkney as a whole as there is plenty to do whether you're here for a short break or a few weeks. From  sailing  or taking in a few holes of golf to visiting historic Castles and sites, following the local craft trail, taking a dip in the local pool or simply just walking the stunning coastline on the look out for a puffin or two, Westray is bound to surprise you.

“Peedie” House (Attached by adjoining door between kitchens)
Kitchen/Dining area, lounge, spiral staircase, double ensuite (wc, whb, shower), study area, Viewing Gallery (Mezzanine above kitchen/diner). This is all open plan, there is no door to separate the bedroom upstairs, there are only the sliding doors that separate the lounge.

Linen and towels provided. Electricity, oil and started pack of logs included.

Phone and WiFi due to be installed December 2011.

Pets restricted to the ground floor and to be kept off the furniture, thank you. Please keep dogs on leads at all times whilst out and about as the house is surrounded by farmland.
