Comfortable cottage in a nice location near to Lagg Hotel which does a nice pint of 80 bob. Low sloping ceilings upstairs a bit of a pain for tall people - bumped my head more than once! Woodburning stove a boon although inadequate supply of seasoned timber - had to buy logs from DIY store in Brodick which were a rip off - £12 for 2 small bags plus one of kindling! Cottage well equipped with good kitchen and plenty of games and Sky TV to keep kids entertained during a wet week although no wireless internet which would have been helpful. Electric shower didn't work but probably easily fixed and other shower head broken. Otherwise an excellent cottage.

Really well equipped cottage with quality features. Excellent that we could take the dog. Lovely location near to beach and local facilities and wonderful garden bordered by the burn. Great to have the heating and water included in price but also good to have the opportunity of having the wood fires. Some details in the book in the cottage need updating as we couldn't locate some of the items - e.g. a caddy for food waste and a black bin in the garden for ash. The only downside was the lack of an upstairs loo and a bath which would have been important if we had brought grandchildren with us but otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. Local accessible beach a treat.

We all thoughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage,the lovely see through log burner was great! plenty of room for all, and the garden also was good, we could see the bird table from the table when we ate together,the only thing we needed was a midge controler to get rid of the midges, as they were so many in the bathroom, it was annoying!!!! also we neede a pair of scales, as we did some baking, guessing the quantites otherwise the cottage was so well equiped!!! it was so comfortable to come home and relax, no noise pollution,it was lovely! thank you! The litle girl of 4 yrs loved it, she said it was her favorite thing, feeding the birds,and watching out for the squirrel!

The cottage was very clean and the living space is super. Lovely gardens to enjoy if you don't mind the midges. Some great walks from the cottage. The beach 5 minute walk away. Really nice place to stay.

Really delightful stay in this wonderful cottage. Accomodated 2 granparents at one end of the cottage and two parents with small boys at the other which meant there was never a feeling of being on top of each other. Gorgeous kitchen and the provision of log fires and logs made a couple of wet days in early Sept rather pleasant. Fantastic spate river running through thye garden and surrounded by nature with great little woodland walk which if you wish you can go down to the sea. Perfect base for exploring Arran and opposite the superb Lagg Hotel, great beer, great food and lovely gardens, perfect on return from trips out. So much to do in Arran but Machrie Moor Standing Stones stood out for us.
