Right in the centre of Whiting Bay, a popular seaside resort on the Isle of Arran, sits this high specification villa (built in 2007) with plenty of character and charm, from its wrap around decking on the ground floor to the first floor balcony leading from the master bedroom with its seaview. This is a simply lovely holiday house - designed to make the most of the outdoors in fine weather but welcoming and warm inside as well.

Mid Kiscadale Cottage provides modern convenience with comfortable accommodation and downstairs has a well equipped kitchen/dining room with French doors leading to the exterior decking, and a separate utility room with laundry facilities.  The large lounge invites you in to relax in front of the wood burning stove, or perhaps a stroll through the French doors and out to sun yourself on the decking overlooking the garden and across to the beach.  A twin bedroom and family bathroom with separate corner shower unit completes the downstairs accommodation.  The first floor offers up a twin bedroom, a double bedroom and family bathroom with shower over bath, all finished beautifully as are all the rooms, and of course the master bedroom with its own French doors leading to those sea views from the balcony.

The views of the Firth of Clyde are outstanding where you can spot a few cruise ships. The shore around Whiting Bay has a mixture of beautiful sandy beaches and interesting rock formations, habitats of seabirds with a particularly large swan population. The village of Whiting Bay has grown little by little from a cluster of cottages on the shore. The walk to Glen Ashdale falls is a family favourite where you will walk past farms and fields along forest paths edged with ferns although not a long walk but it has much to offer, giving you time to reflect and enjoy Arran. Whiting Bay is also comprised of many districts as many of villages here on Arran are and has evidence of pre-historic habitation, the Giants Grave being the best known.
