Everything about the 'The Old larder' was superb. It was the most comfortable and exquisite place to relax we have stayed in. Being attached to Glen House gives the Larder an air of grandeur. The accommodation was beautifully decorated and fitted to a high specification. It is homely, clean, and has everything you need to make self catering an absolute delight. The estate and surrounding countryside has outstanding natural beauty making it a wonderful place for walking with no great need to venture further afield. A truly 5 star experience.

A great place to escape. With fantastic walking and mountain biking including Innerleithen trail centre less than 2 mikes away and Glentress a small drive. The property is amazing with lots of antiques, but a very practical well equiped place to spend a holiday. The house gardens are really nice and the estate is a lovely place to walk around. We would definitely recommend it!

An idyllic setting in a border glen. The accomodation was more than just comfortable; though recently refurbished, it felt lived in and loved. We were there in the autumn when lighting the stove was an essential and the roll top bath after a long walk a luxury. We cooked many a fine supper in the lovely kitchen and I was genuinely sad to leave. The owners were considerate and helpful and eagre to take any suggestions on board. I could not recommend The Old Larder more highly.

This was a beautiful experience. This cottage is actually part of a huge mansion house on thousands of acres. It's like stepping back into history. It's the perfect stay for anyone looking for fresh air, great walks and peaceful afternoons. The hosts were warm and inviting. The cottage doesn't see much sun but the views are breathtaking and the inside is extremely well equipped and beautifully restored with original pieces belonging to the family. A+ holiday for us.

We spent a wonderful time enjoying the scenery and visiting the many bookshops along Tweedbank. The accomodation is very comfortable and the facilities are plentiful and generous. Innerleithen is a centre for all cycling activities and we were lucky to be there when the Tour of Britain came through the town.

A wonderful location, much more interesting than we thought the Lowlands was going to be. The old larder was beautifully decorated through out. Broadband worked extremely well. The only downside was the lack of privacy as people walked straight past our plate glass french windows. As we were blessed with the misty rain only Scotland can supply this wasn't too much of a handicap, but if the sun had shined in August we wouldn't have been able to open the doors or sit outside in peace.

The Larder Wing is a unique property in a special location within it's own scenic glen and attached to a remarkable stately home. This combined with the attention to detail in the selection of furnishings in the house from antique pictures, to 4 poster bed, old books and flagstone floors as well as all the modern equipment one requires for cooking and relaxing makes it a truly unique experience. The hosts are extremely attentive and flexible to their clients needs, which means nothing can go wrong, except the Scottish weather.....but even that went right for us!
