Castle Lachlan in Argyll is a stunning 18th century castle sitting on the tranquil shores of Loch Fyne. The seat of the Clan MacLachlan, this castle in Scotland is divided into 2 properties with the MacLachlan family residing in one half and the south facing superior portion available for let. There is plenty of room for guests to explore the surrounding scenic countryside with the large private estate extending to 1500 acres comprising a working farm, woodlands and coastline.

Providing welcoming, beautiful holiday accommodation in a most impressive setting, the property is reminiscent of a previous grand era. Traditional in style, the well proportioned rooms have been delightfully decorated and furnished to create comfortable ornate accommodation to be enjoyed with family or friends. The impressive Italian marble fireplace in the drawing room dominates the room and makes a beautiful focal point to enjoy on a winter evening. The public rooms are lavish and luxurious and the dining room creates a spectacular backdrop for formal entertaining, catering for up to 16 guests whilst the spacious kitchen with Aga is suitable for more informal breakfasts. Guests will enjoy using the large games rooms with billiard table whilst the portraits, naval memorabilia and paintings throughout the property create a homely feel and make interesting viewing. Oil central heating and roaring open fires throughout the property ensure a warm stay and creates a cosy atmosphere but without taking away from the grandeur of this magnificent castle. 

Loch Fyne is renowned for the seafood which it produces especially oysters and the seasonal MacLachlan owned Inver Cottage Restaurant is only a short walk away from the holiday rental property. The area surrounding your holiday accommodation is home to a varied selection of wildlife including porpoises, dolphins, otters, pine martins and roe and red deer and there are beautiful woodland and shoreline walks on offer.

Castle Lachlan is an outstanding Scottish castle in a beautiful location. It makes a fairytale wedding venue for which it is licensed or is equally as well suited to corporate functions or as a secluded retreat to enjoy with family or friends.
