Nestled below Sgorr Ruadh also known as the ‘Wellingtons Nose’, Coulags is located on the Achnashellach estate, and provides guests with an impressively high standard of accommodation. A welcoming light, spacious hall connects the bedroom wing and living areas which has patio doors that open onto the garden where you are greeted with wonderful views over Loch Carron. The property’s large windows mean that guests are able to take full advantage of the wonderful Scottish scenery all around

The wood burning stove in the sitting room creates a warm comfortable atmosphere which is maintained by the night store heating found throughout Coulags. Surrounded by mountains and with a river running close by there are both hill and river walks to be enjoyed. As an attractive extra for all ages, the estate stalker (subject to his own holidays) is available to tenants for three days each week for guided hill walks and for trips to Loch Kishorn on the estate boat.

The estate stalker, subject to his own holidays, is available to tenants for three days each week. He can guide hillwalking and take the estate boat, with outboard, for trips on Loch Kishorn. There are many scenic areas to visit nearby, including Applecross, Loch Maree, Torridon and Sheildaig, with nature reserves at Ben Eighe and Ben Damph. This wild and wonderful area is home to a variety of wildlife, including red deer and golden eagles.

Access to Coulags is by a short, unmade track.

Loch Carron: 6 miles, has a grocer shop, butchers, and hotel serving meals and there are several other restaurants nearby.
