A cosy sitting room has an open fire whilst the spacious well equipped kitchen/diner benefits from a wood burning stove, and ensures the cottage is warm all year round. Upstairs the bedrooms, with their quaint gothic windows and coombed ceilings, are bright and comfortable providing the perfect retreat at the end of a busy day.
Situated in the heart of Highland Perthshire, Croftmill Cottage is ideal for exploring the area which offers a huge variety of things to do and see. Perthshire is famed for its autumnal colours and The Enchanted Forest is the award winning outdoor sound and light show, which runs on autumn evenings, or perhaps guest may wish to attend a Highland Games with Blair Athol the first of the season in May and Pitlochry the last in September. There are castles, distilleries, and pretty highland villages to visit and hills loch, rivers and woodlands to be admired in one of Scotland most scenic areas, there really is something for everyone.

Walking - many wonderful walks in the area including a circular walk round nearby Loch Freuchie or for the hill walker there are many munros within easy reach including the National Nature Reserve of Ben Lawers Fishing on a loch within 15 minutes walk can be arranged by contacting CKD Galbraith Sporting Department on 01738 451600 . Golfing - there are 40 golf courses to choose from in Perthshire, and lots of picturesque courses within easy reach, including a challenging 9 hole course at Killin, an 18 hole course at Taymouth Castle in Kenmore and Gleneagles, only 40 minutes away Watersports - Loch Tay and Lochearn offer sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and pleasure boats and the River Tay has some of the most exciting white water rapids in the country Touring - centrally located this cottage is an ideal base from which to tour Scotland, with Perth only 40 minutes away and Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Stirling all within easy striking distance for a day trip. Closer to home visit the bustling town of Pitlochry with its Festival Theatre and Salmon Ladder, or historic Dunkeld, famed for its ancient cathedral and pretty 17th century buildings, restored by the National Trust for Scotland Distilleries - visit Dewars World of Whisky in Aberfeldy, Blair Atholl Distillery or Edradour Distillery in Pitlochry and enjoy a tour of the whisky making process and sample the results.
