With beautiful views overlooking the River Tay to the hills beyond, Dunvarlich House provides outstanding holiday accommodation within the B listed Arts and Crafts house.

This delightful holiday house is full of character and charm with many original features retained including stain glass windows, wood panelling and bathrooms. Beautiful antique furnishings, antique beds and log fires all retain the property’s ambience of a by gone era, whilst the media cinema room with surround sound, high resolution LCD screens brings state of the art twenty first century living for those who want.

The wonderful garden comes complete with orchard. To the front there is a quiet road and a few steps leading down to a beautiful river walk.  Enjoy playing on the croquet lawn or relax in the summerhouse, which has its own music centre and BBQ ideal for that balmy summer evenings.  Adults and children alike will love the fully enclosed garden – a little bit of paradise.

Dunvarlich is set in one of the most beautiful areas of Perthshire with uninterrupted views of Strathtay and Schiehallion however it is within easy walking distance of the centre of bustling and picturesque Aberfeldy with its galleries, restaurants and antique shops.

Please note remaining weeks for 2010 are available from Saturday - Saturday while the start day of holidays in 2011 will change to Friday.

Ground Floor
Vestibule, spacious panelled hallway with imposing double staircase and wood burning stove. Living room with original oak panelling, tapestry, bay window and wood burning stove. Gracious dining room with open fire. Media/cinema with 42” LCD screen, conservatory, music room with piano. Original and unusual cloakroom. Kitchen with butlers pantry.

First Floor
3 double bedrooms, 1 family room with a double and one single bed, two large Victorian bathrooms with original roll top baths, wc, whb and bidet. Twin bedroom. Separate shower room.

Activities

The local golf course is within walking distance along with tennis courts Trout and salmon fishing can be arranged locally, as well as other sports such as white water rafting, kayaking, sailing and biking (a secure cycle store is available) Aberfeldy has a swimming pool with gym and sauna and Kenmore (5 miles away) has a loch side beach ideal for children this is an exceptionally beautiful area of Scotland with Loch Tay, Loch Earn, Loch Tummel all nearby

Linen and towels included, gas and electricity included. Fuel for fires supplied.

TV, LCD TV with satellite, surround sound and DVD player. Radio/CD player. Washing machine, dryer, microwave, dishwasher, electric cooker, high speed wireless internet connection. Gas and electric hob. BBQ and garden furniture.

Caretakers are resident in a completely separate and private rear wing.

Extra refundable cost: Good Housekeeping Deposit £250 (payable to owner)
