Set in the heart of the glorious and extensive Fassfern Estate, this delightful two bedroom cottage offers modern comfort whilst retaining its traditional charm.
Fassfern Cottage forms part of Fassfern House yet enjoys its own private entrance, patio and garden area. Attractively furnished and well-equipped this charming holiday cottage offers privacy and peace yet is ideally placed for exploring this beautiful and historical part of Scotland. The cosy sitting room with its open fire together with the well furnished bedrooms and newly fitted kitchen make this a delightful self-contained holiday cottage.
Fassfern Estate is renowned for its wonderful woodland with many fantastic walks right from the doorstep. Pack a picnic and head off along tree-lined paths or up the surrounding hills from where you will see the fantastic views over Loch Eil and to the mighty Ben Nevis. Deer are often seen grazing near to the house and this naturally beautiful area is also home to a large variety of wonderful birds, butterflies and wildlife.
Adjacent to the cottage is Fassfern House which sleeps up to 10 guests. There is an adjoining lockable door between the two properties allowing both properties to be booked together to accommodate larger parties.

Guests are welcome to enjoy this fabulous estate rising from the shores of Loch Eil to the peaks of the magnificent mountains of Gulvain and Streap. Outdoor enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice with many wonderful walks to enjoy - from a gentle stroll through the woods to the full blown mountaineering experience. Roe deer, black grouse, wood ants, butterflies and pine marten are just some of the wildlife that thrives here – you may even catch a glimpse of both golden eagles and sea eagles.
Conveniently located within easy reach of Fort William (‘Outdoor Capital of the UK’) on the famous ‘Road to the Isles’, Fassfern is an ideal base for those looking to explore this fabulous area of Scotland with its amazing history, outstanding scenery and glorious wildlife.
There are many local attractions including the distinguished Glenfinnan Monument, Nevis Range Ski Centre and downhill mountain bike course. Take a trip on the famous Jacobite Stream Train (Hogwarts Express) from Fort William to Mallaig. Enjoy a visit to Inverness or experience the historic Glencoe. The islands of Skye, Rum, Muck, Eigg and Canna can be visited from nearby Mallaig and Arisaig. For those who enjoy a day on the beach, the White Sands of Morar are about 45 minutes drive towards Mallaig.
