Situated on the edge of an ancient Scots Pine Forest, Rowan Cottage is truly an oasis of tranquillity and beauty.  With stunning views across the fields to the front and with the woodland to the back of the property, guests can enjoy the sense of rural seclusion surrounded by nature and wildlife.  Watch the deer grazing round the house at dusk and spot the many bird species including goldcrests, cuckoos, pheasants and hawks, or enjoy the many lovely walks from the door through the forest or down to the river- lovely at any time of the year. Rowan Cottage has been beautifully renovated and furnished with every thought to provide luxurious, charming and spacious holiday accommodation of the highest standard. A spectacular double height open plan living area with wood burning stove, is ideal for families to unwind and enjoy each others company, with its well equipped luxury kitchen, large dining table and wonderful leather sofas.  This leads through to a fabulous garden room where you can relax and watch red squirrels scamper from tree to tree on the edge of the forest or gaze up to stars in the night sky.  There are four generous and comfortable bedrooms, two of which have French doors leading out to a secluded courtyard, the ideal place for morning coffee and croissants. Located at the foot of the Angus Glens, and with the North Esk River close by, there are many opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.  Or, alternatively an ideal base for touring the many historic properties close by including Edzell Castle, The House of Dun, Glamis Castle and Crathes Castle to name but a few. The renowned Angus beaches are nearby as are the well-known fishings on the two Esk Rivers.

Close by for larger groups up to 20 look at Capo Farmhouse (sleeps 7) and The Cowshed (sleeps5)
