The Captain's House is well appointed. The facilities and amenitiesare well kept. The views from the house are excellent. The local area has a lot to offer for those who love the countryside.

The Captain's House/Seaview offers a very well equipped accomodation for six persons. Our family exsisted out of 5 adults. we enjoyed every moment being together in de Conservatory with its beautiful views. Bedrooms, kitchen and TV room are of excellent standard. we were very lucky to have 6 days of sunshine! our visits to The Castle of Mey and the Orkney's were unforgettable. Many points of interest within a 30-minutes drive, including challenging 18-holes golf courses. we will be back in a few years! Cottages & Castles Co. did a excellent job preparing our stay. Perhaps it could be a good idea to indicate the East Mey sign together with the location of the "Captain's House" alias "Seaview" on the roadmap for orientation. we had a great week in Scotland!

We are belgian people, and we do like Scotland: let us say way this time. Last year, after an other stay (a week) in Central Scotland, we were pleased to reach the "top" of Scotland : good weather (not easy to find, superb view all around from the living room, we first just stayed in the cottage looking at the sea, the sunsets, seals, ... and the royal castle of Mey at +/- 2 miles. Then we enjoyed the conform of the cottage : for us (parents + my daughter and her boyfriend + my 17 years old son), the lay-out of the rooms begun to look very well done. Quiet TV-room, pleasant "observatory" as livingroom, confortable sleeping rooms, good kitchen and cooking space. Nearby we visited lots of historical sites such as castles, churches, abbeys, birds on the "rocks", breathkeeping landscapes, old extraction sites, geological curiosities, ... All those souvenirs are also now on electronic files ... and in our hearts. Sure, we'll come back at "Captain's House" for an other stay !
