Holiday House Details

As you first catch sight of Tulchan Lodge at the end of the track and behind a stand of trees, it is hard to believe that this lovely building is brand new for it has the look of a traditional Scottish sporting lodge with its views up the famous Sma Glen. Surrounded by fields and with lovely views this is a spacious and very comfortable holiday house and well placed to be an ideal centre for exploring Scotland. There is free fishing for brown trout in the River Almond, Buchanty Burn and various estate ponds. There are many activities in the immediate area; Gleneagles Hotel and Golf Course; salmon fishing on the Tay or the Almond within ½ hour and the rest of beautiful Perthshire to explore.

Inside this very warm house the kitchen is a large welcoming space with stone flagged floors an Aga and a comfy seating area with TV, the "Garden Room" off the kitchen offers more seating and views to the Sma Glen. There is a lovely big dining room which has French doors to the garden and also to the spacious drawing room making it a very comfortable house for large parties.

The very comfortable bedrooms are over two floors and there are two large “master” doubles with en suite facilities – one of which has an unusual shower room in the turret of the house. Also one of the master bedrooms (one above the Garden Room) has a large balcony. There is a patio with garden furniture for enjoying the warmer weather and the fully enclosed garden is an ideal play area for children but smaller children need supervision as there is a pretty pond in the garden.

Activities

There is trout fishing on the estate ponds, Buchanty Burn and River Almond you may see deer, pheasants and red squirrels etc on the estate golf courses are nearby, with Gleneagles a 30 minute drive and you can walk to your heart's content

TV with Freeview channels, video, DVD player. TV/DVD in master bedroom. Aga, microwave, fridge/freezer/ dishwasher, washing machine and drier. Ample parking, garden furniture. Dogs restricted to kitchen and utility. Dog owners please note this is a working farm and dogs are to be kept on a lead at all times outside the garden area.

Short breaks and reduced rates for smaller parties by arrangement.
