Set in glorious Perthshire countryside on a 1,000 acre estate between Glenshee and Glenisla, Whitehouse is first and foremost a wonderful family house with a great feel and provides an ideal venue for relaxed self catering holidays for family and friends.  As a mansion house dating from the 18th century, Whitehouse combines charm and character with more recently added comforts for modern living including a large kitchen/dining room at the heart of the house.  The house is spacious and light, and both house and garden have beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. 

Whitehouse is easily accessible despite its rural location.  Blairgowrie is only 20 minutes away, and Pitlochry with all its many attractions is 35 minutes drive across the beautiful Moulin moor.  Heading further north Braemar is an hours’ drive through the dramatic mountains of Glenshee and the Grampians. 

Closer to home, walkers will enjoy the access to the hills, moorland and hill lochs and there are many activities more locally too, in neighbouring Glenisla and in Glenshee, with rock climbing and canoeing centre's nearby.  Small children are well catered for with woods to explore, a swing and playhouse in the private garden. The Borland and Whitehouse estate on which Whitehouse is situated includes a hill farm with rare breeds such as highland cattle, belted Galloways and Hebridean sheep.  Wildlife such as deer and red squirrels can also be seen, sometimes in the garden. 

For larger parties there is also, on request, an adjoining, cosy one bedroom cottage sleeping 2 – 4. This newly refurbished Old Laundry provides extra accommodation, all on the ground floor, with a separate entrance to main house. There is a charming sitting room with log burner, beautiful spacious double bedroom, small but well equipped kitchen and bathroom with shower over bath. There is a washing/dryer, cooker, fridge freezer and microwave so the cottage can be quite self contained if required.  There are two single chair beds available in the sitting room, meaning in all 14 people can be accommodated very comfortably at The White House.
