A magnificent regency castellated mansion approached by a three mile drive beside the River Girvan, Blairquhan has roots dating back to 1346. The current castle was commissioned by Sir David Hunter Blair and built by the famous Scottish architect William Burn in 1821-1824, remaining in the family unaltered since its original creation. The castle offers well laid out accommodation suitable for all sorts of entertaining from house parties for up to 25 people to conferences and corporate entertainment. Weddings and celebrations for larger parties can be accommodated with the addition of a marquee if required.
The magnificent back drop is ideal for filming and fashion shoots and meetings for up to 80 people can be accommodated with the library and small drawing room ideal for discussion groups and relaxing. Post meeting diversions such as golf, fishing and clay pigeon shooting can be arranged, as well as visits to neighbouring castles.
