Chesthill House lies in one of Perthshire’s most beautiful and quiet glens, yet is only 20 minutes drive from the attractive, busy little town of Aberfeldy. This beautiful house is a traditional sporting lodge and the interiors, paintings and furnishings reflect its interesting family history with large comfortable rooms, many open fires and a relaxed and homely feel. There is a small rear wing with a single and twin bedroom which can be used as additional accommodation for children.
The gardens are predominately well maintained lawns – ideal for children to play and there is the added attraction of a steadings Games room complete with ¼ sized billiard table, table tennis, piano and darts. This also has a stage and plenty of dancing space so ideal for a celebration.
Glenlyon itself is a perfect mixture of rugged hills, green strath and tumbling river with some glorious walks through the 7000 acre estate or along the river. There is a stocked loch available by arrangement with the estate. You will see deer and red squirrels in the area as well as eagles higher up the glen if you are very lucky.
This part of Perthshire provides many different activities with pony trekking, fishing, canoeing, water sports and golf all readily accessible.
