The Barony Apartment is housed in one of the most historic castles in Angus, on the second floor. Along with a wonderful holiday apartment, full of character and charm, you have access to wonderful grounds complete with woodland and riverside walks, a deer park where you can watch the deer from the windows, and large lawns.
The apartment is high up in the castle so is not for the less mobile, but it is worth the climb up the stone staircase for the views, the comfort and atmosphere.
The Barony rooms are extremely comfortable with a personal and stylish country house feel that makes you welcome. A wonderfully welcoming sitting room with open fire, a spacious dining room and a TV/Snug room with daybed, make this holiday apartment spacious and ideal for larger groups. The high proportion of bathrooms makes it ideal for mixed parties or two families.
The grounds are glorious and there is a small area set aside solely for guests where you can enjoy a picnic or some secluded reading time. There are squirrels and deer as well as birdlife galore and nearby are championship golf courses, the lovely beaches of Lunan Bay or the more remote landscapes of the Angus Glens. The estate is happy to arrange fishing (in season and when available).
