This is your opportunity to enjoy a truly fabulous house party in a converted Grade B listed 19th century Mill, which is being renovated into a luxury residence whilst every effort is being made to ensure the development is in a “Green” manner with a very low carbon footprint. Built in 1832, as a working water mill for the local farm, it was designed in a grand Georgian manner by the renowned architect William Stirling of Dunblane, before falling into disrepair in recent years. The work is due for completion April 2009 and as we know this owner’s other properties (link to Croftweit 1 and St Ninians) there is no doubt that this will be an exceptionally beautiful house finished and furnished to a very high standard. Original features like the working water wheel will generate its own electricity and be enhanced by the addition of large windows for the sitting room, open atrium in the library area and an Orangery to the front of the building to enjoy the views over the Perthshire hills to the front. This house will provide a fantastic holiday house for larger parties and is destined to be the ideal marriage of ancient and modern building techniques and effects. If you want an even larger group then additional accommodation is available less than 2 miles away in Crieff.
Current plans of the accommodation show it will consist of 5 double rooms en-suite, 2 further double rooms, 2 twin rooms and 3 bathrooms, together with 2 sofa beds in the cinema room. Some of the bedrooms can be connected to offer a family suite. The reception rooms consist of a large sitting room with open fire, large kitchen with substantial dining area, a library and a cinema room. The Mill is being renovated and refurbished to 5* luxury standards and is available to be booked in advance now. As extra – outside catering; additional housekeeping service; airport transfers – can all be made available so your stay can be as luxurious or as peaceful as you choose.
