Cleverly refurbished the house is a mix of old in the antiques, features and character but utilises the best of new with sumptuous beds and bathrooms, striking decoration such as fabric covered walls and a fantastic kitchen that will delight all cooks whether professional or amateur.
The bedrooms are strikingly beautiful and reminiscent of a 5* hotel and all are stylish and luxurious with high quality en suite facilities. The bedrooms on the second floor, whilst smaller have great style and charm. All the rooms have a view of some sort but the ones to the front are breathtaking looking down across the gardens and valley to the hills beyond.
This lovely house is in a wonderfully peaceful location high up the Borthwick Valley and situated in its own 450 acres you will love the peace and tranquillity of this place. The charming red squirrels that inhabit Hoscote’s gardens certainly enjoy the peace. There is a delightful walled garden as well as lovely grounds and plenty of the estate for you to explore. A small gymnasium is available and free of charge but must be booked. An excellent sauna and outdoor hot tub have been set up in the old Dairy in the grounds with a complimentary three hour session and thereafter charged at £30 per hour. There are walks aplenty and cycle tracks on the estate and bicycles are available to rent. There is also a small stocked lochan where you can fish by arrangement at an extra cost.
This is a very special house – perfect for group holidays for those who enjoy a gracious style, ideal for weddings both large and small and as a short break venue for special family or corporate events.
There are also three cottages available on the Estate: Gardeners Cottage, Sycamore Lodge and Pathhead Farmhouse.
