Off the beaten track down by the banks of the River Don, Tornashean is the perfect holiday house for both young and old.  Full of character and charm it can comfortably accommodate sixteen and is surrounded by 60 acres of glorious Aberdeenshire countryside, with views overlooking a delightful garden to the river beyond.  The dining room with its 15ft dining table and open fire is ideal setting for both relaxed meals and more formal occasions.  Retire to the billiards room with its full sized table or to the large welcoming drawing room with its open fire and comfortable sofas, whilst the snug sitting room with wood burning stove and TV, offers larger parties more flexible living space.  The spacious well equipped kitchen with a stove and electric cooker is ideal for catering and benefits from a dining area and French doors to the gardens.  The generous bedrooms and one bunk room are charming with traditional furnishing and décor.

Tornashean is a fantastic base for touring this wonderful area of the Scotland. Drive over the infamous Lecht summit to visit the distilleries of Strathspey including Glenfiddich and Glenlivet, or cross over into Royal Deeside and visit its historic properties including Balmoral, Crathes and Craigivar Castle.  Wander round Braemar famous for the its Highland Gathering attended by the queen, or the equally famous, Lonach Gathering is an experience not to be missed, where the Lonach Highlanders in full highland dress, armed with pikes and battle axes, march around the surrounding area before arriving at the games.  Strathdon has many wonderful walks for all abilities and is 15 minute drive from the Lecht ski slopes.   Fishing, stalking and shooting can be arranged locally.
