Ferryman’s Cottage is situated in Milltown literally next door to Applecross, Ross-shire in an area renowned for its unspoilt beauty, peace and tranquility on offer. The village is reached by the Bealach na Ba (Pass of the Cattle) where on a good day the views to Skye and the islands are unrivalled.
Now a holiday cottage, this was once a ferryman’s cottage and has been modernised but still retains its tradition and charm, making for enchanting holiday accommodation. Although simple, the cottage is comfortable and cosy with the open fire in the sitting room further enhancing the welcoming atmosphere and is a delight to sit around in the evening. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking but the Applecross Inn is a renowned local seafood restaurant that is only a short walk away should you wish to eat out but be sure to book in advance. The seashore is only a stone’s throw away and just waits to be explored and an enclosed sloping garden to the back of the property from which there are views across the bay is the ideal spot to enjoy drinks on a warm summer evening.
With such spectacular scenery on offer in the area surrounding the holiday cottage, you can enjoy some beautiful walks and are placed in the perfect position for exploring all that the surrounding area has to offer.
