Set in a the quiet outskirts of Aviemore and yet only ten minutes from the bustling and vibrant town centre, Struan Cottage is the perfect retreat for a wonderful highland holiday. Built in 2007, the welcoming sitting room, with its cosy living flame gas fire and French doors, is bright and spacious; whilst the modern kitchen/diner is well equipped and stylish, and again benefits from French doors out to a patio with garden furniture and BBQ. The three bedrooms, one of which is en-suite, offer flexibility and comfort and provide great living space - ideal for the perfect family holiday.
Aviemore is set in the heart of the Cairngorn National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty which offers the visitor a wide choice of activities and things to do. Guests may wish to visit the Osprey Centre, where a CCTV camera relays ‘live’ pictures of osprey’s nest during the summer months, or perhaps wander through the ancient Caledonian forests where they might be lucky enough get a glimpse of golden eagles, crested tits, otters, red squirrels and or even the, now very rare, capercaillie. There is a variety of adventure sports on offer from skiing, climbing, kayaking, mountain biking to hillwalking, along with less energetic opportunities to visit distilleries, take a steam train journey, cast a fly over the River Spey or maybe a trip to the top of Cairngorm to simply admire some of the most dramatic and beautiful scenery in the world.

- Walk up the mountain paths or enjoy dining in the Ptarmigan Restaurant – the UKs highest at 1097m above sea level
- Distillery Visits –Strathspey’s whiskey trail visiting its world famous distilleries
- Steam train journey -take a journey back in time through beautiful Strathspey and experience the magic of Steam.
- Hillwalking -– there are 49 munros within the Cairngorm range
- Fishing – World class salmon and sea trout fishing is available on the River Spey, in addition to many hill lochs and stocked fisheries.
- Pony trekking and hacking – wonderful riding available among the ancient Caledonian Pine forests
