The top of the range kitchen/diner is fully equipped and the large farmhouse dining table, seating 10, is ideal for entertaining friends and family. Again French doors lead to the garden allowing guests to take full benefit of the wonderful countryside views. Three luxury en suite bedrooms are a sumptuous retreat at the end of the day and, like the rest of this wonderful house, are stylishly and thoughtfully furnished with bright fresh décor.
This area of Scotland is ideal place for a perfect holiday and is less than 2 hours from all of Scotland major airports. For those with an interest in nature and wild life there is the Montrose Basin Nature Reserve, which provides the perfect habitat for many migrant and resident species, or a trip to the RSPB reserve at Loch Kinnordy might result in a glimpse of an Osprey fishing. Fishermen can enjoy the stunning waters of the North and South Esk or spend an idyllic day casting a fly over the two ponds of a local fishery, whilst golfers will love the many picturesque and challenging local courses. With historic properties, the beaches, cliffs and harbours of the Angus coastline and the hills of the Angus glens all on the doorstep, together with the pretty countryside surrounding this fabulous holiday cottage, this is truly a rural idyll and the perfect holiday destination for everyone.

Activities:
- Fishing - excellent salmon and seatrout fishing is available on the South Esk River only 5 minutes drive from Angler’s Bothy.
Also close at hand are the North Esk, River Tay in addition to many smaller rivers, lochs and coastal fishing. Also available to guests are two private stocked fishing ponds
- Golf – Close to many excellent local courses including Brechin, Edzell, and Arbroath, Angler’s Bothy is only 30 minutes from Carnoustie Championship Course, home of the British Open 2007, and St Andrew and Gleneagles are within 1- 1.5hours drive
- National Trust for Scotland Properties including Barrie’s Birthplace, The Angus Folk Museum and the House of Dun, or visit Glamis Castle, birthplace of The Queen Mother.
- Walking –There are lots of walks available to suit all abilities from pretty strolls along the river bank to the more demanding munros in the Angus Glens - ten in total including Dreish, Mayar and Mount Keen
- Field and countryside sports
- Touring – centrally located the cottage is perfectly situated for touring both the beautiful county of Angus and the whole of Scotland, with all major cities within 2 hours drive, and the hills and coastline both within easy reach.
