Cambusmore Lodge is a classic Scottish Sporting Lodge, originally built for the Duke of Sutherland the main house is now a family home and the West Wing available as a holiday house. The wing has retained all the traditional charm of a sporting lodge with pitch pine tongue and groove walls in the majority of first floor rooms. The public rooms and kitchen on the ground floor are all modernised to provide clean, fresh and modest holiday accommodation.
The house enjoys wonderful views of the sweep of Fleet Bay – a National Nature Reserve where numerous birds can be seen. The estate has a multitude of wildlife with red, roe and sika deer regularly seen as well as raptors, pine martens and many others. This is a working estate with farmland around for you to enjoy and unusually in Scotland the estate enjoys ownership of the shoreline to high tide mark where there are wonderful walks and beaches. Fishing for brown trout is available and for those who wish to try for a salmon, some fishing may be available by arrangement.
