Nestled within Catacol Bay and surrounded by hills and glens, this pretty white-washed cottage is one of twelve, B listed, traditional Arran fisherman’s cottages, known as The Apostles.  The story goes that each fisherman’s house was built with a different upper window so that if they were needed while out at sea, their family would place a candle in the bedroom window and the shape would tell them which house was signalling.

Sympathetically restored in a rustic, traditional style, 3 The Apostles is warm, comfortable and deceptively spacious.  The sitting room is full of character with the original, feature stone wall surrounding the open log fire and a grandfather clock.  Upstairs velux windows have been fitted allowing the light to flood in and the main bedroom has a king size Victorian brass bedstead and wonderful views over Kintyre Peninsular.  The second double room offers an additional pull out bed if required.  The kitchen is ideally equipped for self-catering and there is a small conservatory to the rear which also acts as a dining room.

Being only a stone’s throw away from the sea, this lovely terraced holiday cottage has an inviting garden bench just outside the front door which is ideal for soaking up the sun and enjoying the memorable view.   Arran, with its stunning landscape, endless activities, and varied wildlife is a perfect Scottish holiday destination at all times of the year.

Linen provided NOT towels. Electric storage heating – electricity included Open coal fire in sitting room – starter coal provided.

TV, DVD, Hifi system with CD player, fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, electric hob, oven & grill, drying pulley. Enclosed front garden overlooking the bay & garden furniture. Parking for two cars at rear of property.
